Writing Assignments

The Writing section consists of two areas: approximately 36 multiple-choice questions and a written assignment.

The written assignment, or essay, presents a special problem in preparing for the official test. You will not know the subject for your essay. Your best preparation is to write 300-400 words on a variety of subjects. You will begin to get an idea of the required length and the amount of time needed to complete it. If possible, have someone else read some of your essays and make comments on them.

At the conclusion of the Writing section of this program, you will be given an opportunity to submit an essay for review. Take advantage of this opportunity. Remember, the best way to learn to write is by writing!
